mDOS app privacy policy

Medusa Radiometrics BV built the mDOS app to help you find and control Medusa spectrometers on your own network or on the access point of the spectrometer. This policy states plainly what the app does and does not do with your data.

The app collects nothing. It does not record your location, keep usage logs, ask for an account, or send information to us or anyone else. We do not use crash reporting or analytics tools of any kind. Nothing about you or your device leaves the app.

What the app does is scan the network your phone or tablet is already connected to and list the Medusa detectors it finds there. To do this, the app asks for local network permission when you first open it. That permission is used only for this scan, to find detectors on your network, and for nothing else.

Tap a detector and the app opens its web interface in your device's browser. From that point, all communication runs directly between your browser and the detector, and the detector's own interface, not this app, governs anything that happens there. This policy covers the mDOS app only.

Because we collect nothing, there is also nothing for us to share. We do not pass data to third parties, do not use it for advertising, and do not sell it.

We will update this policy if a future version of the app changes how it handles data. The date at the top of the app shows which version applies.
